Daud Juneja

Daud is the Chair of the Board of Trustees and has been a team member since the charity’s inception in 1997. Now retired, Daud previously worked for the Ford Motor Company for 26 years where he was promoted several times and finished his career working as a Buyer in the Procurement Department. In this role, Daud was part of a team that was responsible for supply chain management, ensuring smooth transition to new working practices, identifying opportunities and reducing costs, ensuring best-in-class service at all levels, setting up long term strategies and market testing business opportunities to deliver excellent performance. During his working life and post retirement, Daud has been actively involved in a number of charities either as a trustee, management team member, consultant or just helping set up certain specialised services voluntarily. Daud is married with 4 children and many grandchildren.

Sadiq Kothia

Sadiq is a successful local entrepreneur with a retail and contract flooring Business. Sadiq is the Managing Director of Taqwa Carpets which was established in 1996. Sadiq is a local Redbridge Councillor for the Fullwell Ward. Sadiq also sits on The Executive Board of FORMO (Federation of Redbridge Mosques & Organisations) and previously sat on the Board of Redbridge Faith Forum. Sadiq is an active father of 4 children; encouraging them to contribute towards the community projects he is involved in.

Muhammed Ilyas Mirza

Muhammed is the Managing Director of Foxplan Limited, and an IT consultant by profession, with over 25 years of experience in developing IT solutions for small and medium-sized businesses. Muhammed graduated in Electrical Engineering and gained an MSc in Information technology. Muhammed has been a keen supporter of promoting healthy after school activities among the youth and helps organise many programmes for young people at his local mosque. Muhammed has been a trustee at Al-Noor since its inception and plays a key role in the development of ICT and Finance strategy.

Imran Khan

Imran has been a trustee at the Al-Noor Foundation since 2004. Imran is a parent to five children. Imran successfully ran a Building Maintenance Company (LBM) for over 16 years and is currently a Director at London Letts Limited, a property management company based in East London. Imran is also the founder of 313 Fitness and Head Coach of GoActivate, a PE provider to schools. Imran is a key member of Al-Noor estates committee, and has demonstrated a marvellous spirit, dedication and achievement as part of a managing team which organises one of the biggest annual fetes in Redbridge – the Al-Noor Annual Family Fun Day.

Zulfiqar Ahmed

Zulfiqar has over 40 years of experience and expertise in the electrical engineering and construction industry. His experience includes office and site-based electrical design and the execution of small to large contracts, with 11 years’ experience at the former GLC and the ILEA. Zulfiqar was employed as a Principal Electrical Design Engineer at the London Borough of Newham for 24 years. His remit included overlooking building services of the social, housing, education and leisure sectors. Zulfiqar is a family man of four children, and has been a committed trustee of Al-Noor Independent School from its inception.ance strategy.

Khalil Rehman

Khalil is part of a very successful, property acquisitions and leasing business based in Canary Wharf. Khalil has been involved in many different businesses for the past 25 years and ran a very successful financial services company in Central London advising high net worth individuals and companies on investments strategies. Khalil is married with 4 children and has lived in Ilford for the past 24 years. He is one of the longest serving members of the Board of Trustees.

Reza Jugon

Reza is an IT professional working for a global life sciences company. Reza has a keen interest in community affairs and his previous roles include being chairman of a local residents’ association, membership of an admissions appeal panel of a Voluntary Aided school and active service in the League of Friends of a general hospital. Reza has a Masters of Engineering Degree from the Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine. He has served as a trustee since 2004 and has been instrumental in school admissions and the creation of a number of weekend clubs to complement the school curriculum. He is a hands-on father to his three children.

Imran Hafiz

Imran is currently the Director of an environmental engineering consultancy based in central London. Imran has over 20 years of experience working within the construction industry; having developed expertise within the housing and education sectors and currently manages teams working on a large range of projects across London. With five children of school age, Imran takes a keen interest in local education provision and has served as a trustee for 13 years. Imran is part of a core group of trustees responsible for developing and expanding the site of the Al-Noor Primary school as well as planning and developing strategies for future growth of Al-Noor.
