February 2007
House of Lords Fundraising Event

Al-Noor School launched its Phase III project at the House of Lords event on February 21st 2007. The project which is estimated to cost around £250,000 will be the final phase of the development of Al-Noor primary school. This will Insha-Allah make the school a fully fledged one-form entry primary school.

The event which was hosted by Lord Adam Patel of Blackburn was attended by over 90 businessmen, professionals and brothers from various other backgrounds. Br Akram Khan-Cheema OBE, a former Chief Ofsted inspector of schools, Br Abu Aliya and a number of trustees of Al-Noor delivered a brief presentation on the importance of supporting Al-Noor primary school. The event was concluded by a unique tour of the House of Lords and House of commons.

The evening raised pledges of around £46,000, Masha-Allah. Al-Noor would like to thank everyone that attended and supported our appeal for the final phase of the project.
